Worships and Supplications | Last 10 Nights of Ramadan

The Night of Power | Laylat-ul-Qadar

Layla al Qadar or the Night of Power is considered to be the Holiest night in the month of Ramadan. The is the night when the revelation of the Quran began. This night falls within the last ten odd nights of Ramadan, and although the exact date is unknown. Qadar should be searched in the last ten nights of Ramadan that are 21, 23, 25, 27, 29 nights. This is a night of praying and worship to Allah. Worship and other good deeds rank higher than that of 1,000 months during this night. Hazrat Aisha (R.A.) reported that Prophet (ﷺ) said:

Search for the Night of Qadr(Decree) in the odd nights of the last ten(10) days of Ramadan.

Sahi Bukhari 2017
Surah qadr, last ten nights of Ramadan

“We have surely revealed this in the “Night of Decree”(Qadr). And what you know what is the Night of Power(Qadr)? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand(1000) months. The Spirit and the angels descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace is until the appearance of dawn.

Quran surah al qadar, 97

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said when the month of Ramadan started, “

Surely, this month(Ramadan) has presented itself to you. There is a night(night of decree) within it that is better than a thousand(1000) months. Whoever is deprived of it has been deprived of all goodness. No one is deprived of its goodness except that he is truly deprived.

Ibn Mājah 1644

Allah is merciful on His servant beyond imaginations. He gives us this night to multiply our good deeds in the book of deeds. It is a golden time to wipe out our sins and seek forgiveness from Allah. So, we must keep the focus on prayers and good deeds. Never miss a chance for any good deed, no matter it is small or big.
