What is Islam

Learning Islam is the sacred duty of Muslims. ISLAM is a derivation of an Arabic word Salema, which meaning is peace and purity, submission, and obedience. When Muslim greet, they say Aslam o Alaikum! Its sense is peace be upon you. Hence Islam is a religion of peace. Islam is the greatest gift of Allah جَلَّ جَلَالُهٌ to humanity. Therefore we must be thankful to him. Allah has granted us so much by making the Ummah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. We must become true Muslims and obey the sacred sunnah of the Holy Prophet SAW. Moreover, we learn religion to make life meaningful.

Why Learn Islam

Followers of Islam are called Muslims. Being Muslim its a sacred duty to seek knowledge of Islam. Awareness of essential Islam is obligatory on every Muslim. Secondly, to practice in life and preach our knowledge. No one can be a true Muslim unless knowing about Islam. Through education, he becomes Muslim; otherwise, he is nothing by birth. The only knowledge he comes to understand the primary teaching of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Without this, how can one faith in him and practice Islam? Islam is a religion of books, and acknowledgment is necessary. Holy Quran’s first word, which was revealed upon Prophet Muhammad, was “Iqra.” “Iqra” means “Read,” which was extended later to a complete Surah name as Surah Alaq. As in this surah:

Read! In the Name of your Allah Who has created. He has created man from a clot. Read! And your Allah is the Most Generous, Who has taught by the Pen. He has taught man that which he don’t know.

Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know?

Surah Al-Zumr verse 09

Allah gives knowledge to whom He pleases and to whom knowledge is given; indeed, he receives an overflowing benefit.

Surah Al-Baqarah verse 29

About learning Holy Prophet Muhammad Saw also said:

The position of only two persons is excellent; the person whom Allah conferred wealth empowering him to spend it in the way of goodness, and the person whom Allah gave wisdom with which he found and which he teaches to others.

Narrated from Ibn Abbas RA: Prophet Muhammad SAW said:

A single scholar of religion is more formidable against Shaytaan than a thousand devout persons.

An educated person becomes down to earth. Education polishes his personality. So, he tends to act humble and practical. Such a person is unassuming. Also, he has a simple and comfortable life.

Leads to Beauty and Dignity

An educated person is a respectful person in society. People consider him responsible and honest. His personality groom well so that people give more attention to him. Knowledge people work in the right way. Therefore working is precise and proper. Also, knowledge brings beauty in his works.

Freedom and Justice

It’s familiar saying that if you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free. Every person born Muslim, And secondly, he born free. After that, they involve in the world to change their state. A knowledgable person is best to judge fair and unfair. He considers proper justification only. Hence some bring positive change with gaining knowledge, And some ruin themselves by staying away.

Closeness to Allah جَلَّ جَلَالُهٌ

Knowledge is a definite way of knowing the truth. When a person comes to realize the fact, he will think more about his creator. His creator almighty Allah جَلَّ جَلَالُهٌ enable him to learn. He must recognize himself in the real world and then Almighty Allah. Gradually truth will be disclosed for him, and he will see an original version of the world. Knowledge must be for some values and goals.

Achievement of goal

Knowledge is the essential tool to achieve any goal in life. One cannot do any work correctly unless he haven,t acknowledge that work. Allah جَلَّ جَلَالُهٌ help those who search for knowledge. Also, make goals easy for him.

Gaining Goods by Islamic learning

One of the most critical purposes of acquiring knowledge is to gain the good of this world. Islam regulates and directs life in every department. Therefore it also declares a proper and halal way of earning. Muslims need to learn Islam so that they can stay away from unlawful methods of obtaining. Indeed Islam is a religion of honesty. Prophet Muhammad Saw emphasis honesty and truthfulness in business. Islam teaches the high standards of morality. Therefore set the moral principles of commerce for business. Quran also indicates these principles, Which are as under:

  • Properly learn measure and weight.
  • Not to withhold other goods.
  • Stay away from evil and mischief.
  • Must be satisfied with our profit and oblige to pay others their due.

Hence for any business and gaining goods, we need to learn Islam. So it is the way by which we earn fairly. Therefore we can learn to avoid wasting and destroying things. Instead need to learn proper use.

Future of Kids

The most crucial purpose of Islamic education is the future of children. It is necessary to educate the generation if we want to secure the future. Children are the real weapon to develop a country. Islam also emphasis on teaching every kid. Both boys and girls have similar rights to learn. One who ignores the kid’s education will lose his past and kill his future.

Facilitate Lives

Education is the real way to facilitate lives. Only using education one can learn modern methods of earning. Also, anyone get maximum comfort by gaining more knowledge. Islam emphasis learning so we can make our lives better. Any illiterate person has fewer opportunities. He has no concept of any achievement. But an educated person has a variety of ideas by which he can change his life.

For learning basic Islamic concepts, some fundamentals are essential. About these fundamentals, knowledge is also necessary.

Each Muslim has to fulfill the duties imposed by Islam’s five pillars. Such tasks need assiduity and wholeheartedness. These practices and responsibilities are weaves into Muslim lives. Also offer every day in order and continuity, taking precedence over all secular considerations. Therefore this means that Islam, for a Muslim, is in complete submission to God’s will. It’s a way of life in the fullest sense, not just a part of life.

Observation of Islam’s five pillars requires a strong Muslim-God relationship. A priestly intermediary is not required. The connection is fundamentally truthful and pure because the Muslim’s contact with Allah جَلَّ جَلَالُهٌ is transparent and unmediated. However, the Five pillars of Islam are:
