ramadan 2021

Preparations to Welcome RAMADAN

Welcome Ramadan 2021

Ramadan 2021 is expected to start on 12th,13th or 14th April 2021. The date may vary in different countries, as the moon is sighted. After this pious month of Ramadan 2021, there will be the final evening of Ramadan consists of a celebration called Eid al-Fitr. But before that, we have to pass Ramadan using our full energies in worship. This is the right time to get prepared for Ramadhan and taking the following steps for proper preparation.

Making up missed Fast

All Muslims should be aware of the legal rulings or ahkam about missing days of fasting in previous Ramadan. We must try for making up our missing previous fasts before Ramadan. So that we enter Ramadan with clear due fasts.

Fulfilling obligations and dues and making Astagfar

We must pay our dues before Ramadan 2021. Moreover, think of missed prayers and fasts. Make a routine to fulfil these previously missed worships. Seek forgiveness from Allah for previous sins. Make habit of Astagfar. Make hearts and soul clean from ill and evil thoughts. Repent for each and every sin committed with conscious or without. Ask Allah for cleaning our sins, we have done through hands, eyes, ears, feet, hearts and soul.

Work for soul Piety

Piety (Taqwa) is to protect oneself from what angers Allah the Almighty. So, before Ramadan develop soul piety. Fast some days of Shaban, as it increases us in taqwa. Avoid all prohibitions and increase reciting Quran. Make supplication after all good deeds. Pray at night and all other free time. The purpose of fasting is to attain Taqwa (piety), Allah says:

O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may attain Taqwa.”

Quran 2:183

Learn Rules for Ramadan and Teach others

Fasting is not merely quitting eating and drinking. It has rules and regulations to follow. Moreover, Ramadan is linked with special worships. We must learn the rules of prayer, fast, Travi prayer, the charity of fitr, Zakat and Itikaf before starting of this month.

Purify Heart and Soul

Our Heart is full of negative and positive emotions. Negative emotions like hatred, revenge, envy, and backbiting continuously damage our hearts. Allah does not accept our prayers if our heart has hatred and jealousy for others. So, before coming Ramadan 2021 its must be our target to clean our heart and soul from negativities and ill practices.

Abdullah ibn Amr reported that he said:

O Prophet of Allahﷺ, “who are the best people?” The Messenger of Allahﷺ said: “One with a heart swept clean and truthful in speech. One that is mindful of Allah and pure, in which there is no sin, nor aggression, nor envy”. We said, “Who shows a sign of it?” The Prophetﷺ said: One who hates worldliness and loves the Hereafter. They said, “And who shows a sign of it?” The Prophetﷺ said: “A believer with good character”.

Shu’ab al-Imān 4457, Ibn Majah

Increase Kindness to Relatives

Cutting off with relatives ( Qat’a ar-Rahm) is a major sin. It is a sin due to which our supplications are not acceptable. Before Ramadan, we must repent from this sin. It time to build good relations with relative and ask for forgiveness for any previous misbehaver or desert to Muslim brothers. For strong ties of kinship (Seleh-Rahem), we must visit them, present gifts. help poor ones and be kind to the rich. It could also be done by welcoming honouring them. Show respect to elders and love and mercy to younger.

In Holy Quran Allah says:

And those who break the Covenant of Allah, after its contraction, and sever that which Allah has commanded to be joined, and work mischief in the land, on them is the curse And for them is the worst home (Hellfire).

Quran 13:25

Prophetﷺ said:

The one who maintains a relationship with his relatives only because they maintain a relationship with him is not truly upholding the ties of kinship. The one who truly upholds those ties is the one who does so even if they break off the relationship.

Remember the days of Shaban

Remember the dates of Shaban and make a routine to fast and worship. Try to complete pending tasks and reduce busyness. So that in Ramadhan we focus on worships and good deeds only. Shaban is a preparation month for us so pass it wisely and with planning.

Make Routine of Dua

Ramadhan is the month when prayers and duas are accepted. So make a routine of daily supplications. Memorize new duas and also Ramadan supplications. Learn and memorize masnoon supplications as these are exact words to invoke Allah’s mercy.

Develop the habit of Charity

Charity is a way to improve both our physical and mental well-being. Make habit of everyday Charity as one can afford. This habit will grow in Ramadan and the reward for this deed will increase many times.

Recite Holy Quran

Ramzan is the month when Quran was revealed. Recitation of the Quran in this precious month is a deed of precious people. Make a habit to recite Quran daily, and if someone is reciting it daily in everyday life he must increase recitation.

May Allah accept our all good deeds and guide us to right path.
