Success, everyone one of us is following this word. How to be successful in education, in business, in life, in relations and many more. What is real success? Question raise in every mind. But the strange thing is that it comes in the mind of a person when he achieved what he desires and then feel emptiness. He can’t feel any extraordinary joy for achievement. His mind starts wandering for next level, thinking maybe that level of success will fill his eagerness. Quran describes success in chapter 3 verse 185 in these words:
Everyone will taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection will you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is discharged away from the fire and admitted to Paradise, he surely is successful. The life of this world is only a deceiving thing.

Death and success, what’s the relation of these? To answer this lets first know who are successful in Islamic point of view.
Islam and success
Being Muslim
Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them. And who believe in what has been revealed to you. And what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter, they are sure. Those are upon guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are successful.
Quran 2:3-5
First of all, having faith in Allah, and then His books, Prophets, and day of judgement is necessary to be Muslim. Being Muslim first why it is essential? It’s important because being Muslim first is the direction to follow, to follow it rest of life. For being successful, it’s necessary to catch the right road. Suppose if we start on the right path than definitely will be succeeded. Allah is one and all His teachings are truth-based. Believing it and having faith is the first success of life.
Avoiding Riba (interest, usury)
O you who have believed, do not use usury, doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful.
Quran 3:130
Allah Almighty connect here success with riba. Refusing it is the path to be successful in World and hereafter. Usury is harmful to businesses; it destroys one’s business and money. Moreover, due to usury, a poor person becomes more miserable. Blessing from the wealth of rich goes away. The whole society passes through the unbalanced condition. Then why to disobey Allah and give away success.
Striving in Allah’s way
O, you who have believed fear Allah and ask the means to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed.
5:35
Striving in Allah’s way, both spiritually and physically. Putting oneself in Allah cause purify the soul and bring peace.
Ask Allah for Success
[Remember] when you asked the help of your Lord, and He answered you, “Surely, I will strengthen you with a thousand from the angels, following one another.
Quran 8:9
When we ask each and everything, small or big to Allah, He grants us more than we desire. Allah loves that His servants ask Him. Think when Allah’s help is there how can one be not successful.
Be truthful about Allah
Say, surely, those who invent falsehood about Allah will not succeed.
Quran 10:69
Allah is the truth; He loves truth. He commands believers to speak the truth with each other. But more than that false interpreting His words is a big crime. Allah never blesses success those who say something wrong related Him. One should not wrongly interpret Quran verses and hadiths of His Prophet(PBUH).
Purify Soul
Good deeds without pure intentions are unacceptable. One should purify his heart first then do whatever his job is.
He has succeeded who purifies it, And he has failed who instills it [with corruption].
Successful Believers
Indeed, will the believers have succeeded: They who are during their salah humbly submissive. And they who turn away from the ill talk. & They who are observant of zakah. And they who guard their private parts. Except for their wives or those their right hands possess. For indeed, they will not be blamed -But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors. And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive. And they who carefully offer their prayers.
Quran 23:1-11
Salah
Offering prayer with proper timings is training to a trained and successful life. Allah called him successful who offer salah.
Paying Zakat
Paying zakat(charity) purify wealth, its the way build whole society beautifully. Zakat is not limited to the month of Ramadan alone. These doors of success are open throughout the year, and paying charity is one of the most beautiful means to achieve success.
Preserving chastity
Allah The Almighty praises those who preserve their chastity and make this a means of success in the Hereafter.
The outcome of preserving one’s honour on the individual and society is immense. As it weakens faith, corrupts nobility, and ruin person religiously and world. He who maintains his chastity protects himself from all these evil qualities.
safe Tongue
Allah reminds us here that ill speech is a bad habit from which a believer must turn. We must speak in kindness, be patient, and offer words that are comforting even at those times when the words of others are ugly and inhuman. We can bite our tongues to prevent our tongues from biting and hurting someone as it is a hurdle in our success in both worlds.
Fulfill Promise
Fulfilling one’s promise to Allah and human is a quality which makes us successful person.
Real sucess
If we live according to Allah commands, then worldly success is ours. But real success is that we die when Allah is pleased by us. Our deeds become acceptable, and the scroll of deeds be in our right hand. We will be most successful when we enter paradise and get the companionship of the Prophet(PBUH). Quran confirm this success as:
Allah promised the believing men and women gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and charming dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence; but approval from Allah is greater. It is that which is a great achievement.
Quran 9:72
Those are the inheritors. Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally.
