Start every good work with the name of Allah. And then make dua. Invocation for seeking Knowledge is essential, as it is best among all good deeds. Entirely rely on Allah’s will in dua/ supplication. Seeking Knowledge is considered as a way of Prophets. While performing this pious job, we must ask for Allah Almighty’s help. Prophet (peace be upon him) said.
Whoever follows the path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah will make the path to Jannah easy for him.
Jami At-Tirmidhi 2646 Book 41, Hadith 2.
Knowledge has two types:
Religious Knowledge is also known as the study of religion. So, it includes religious beliefs, behaviors, and institutions. Worldly Knowledge is the study of all other fields like science and the arts.
There is a misconception that invocation is only for religious knowledge. But this is not the case. Seeking Allah ‘s help and guidance through invocation is equally beneficial in both types of learning because both types are essential for Muslims.

Islam is a belief of knowledge. Islam puts too much stress on inquiring about education. Learning is a key to prosperity. Seeking knowledge is better than any value in the world. It protects us from many problems. It has many advantages in this world and also in the hereafter. Knowledge is the base of our lives, and religious education is pleasant, fit, and gives pleasure to us because we came to know about our true God. No other religion gives as much importance to learning as the religion Islam. Islam has made seeking knowledge compulsory for all Muslims and has believed that not doing so is considered as a sin. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said about it in these words:
Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.
(At-Tirmidhi)
This obligation is not limited to individual classes, but it is also essential and obligatory for women as for men, old and young, rich, and poor. Whoever seeks knowledge and help other people to learn will get surprising rewards from Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty will grant high ranks in this world as well as the Hereafter.
Studying about religion will make it easy for us the path to Paradise, as Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:
Whoever treads a path in seeking knowledge, Allah will make easy for him the path to Paradise.
Al Trimidi
The primary purpose of seeking knowledge is to bring us closer to our faithful Lord Allah Almighty. It is not only for the pleasure of the mind or the senses. Learning must be linked to values and goals.
So, we must seek knowledge and remember Allah in supplications for help.
